Greendale is the only member owned buying group with it's own stockholding facility.

Flooring Industry Training Association

Co-founded by the Contract Flooring Association (CFA) and the National Institute of Carpet & Floorlayers (NICF) to provide specialist training for the floorcovering industry, FITA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation — by industry, for industry. Masterpiece

MasterPiece can now add value to both front and back-end of your business process.

MasterPiece is already well known for supporting the estimator’s visit, on tablet, in the home. Includes an ability to take and add photos to the job.

At the front-end MasterPiece now offers:
- an innovative pre-visit ‘ballpark quoting’ engine
- facility for quoting in-store based on customer’s own measurements
- diary for scheduling estimator visits
- support for in shop sales, ie sales which don’t require visit to measure

At the back-end, beyond the estimator’s visit, MasterPiece now offers:
-diary for scheduling fitting events
-customer database: captures customer details, history of interaction, completed jobs that now need an entry into the accounting system.

The ballpark quoting engine also goes by the name of ‘Sales Assistant’. It enables both inexperienced Sales Assistants and experienced sales persons to produce a better ballpark quote than is possible without a software tool. So, either the potential customer is primed well and the sale is almost made before the visit. Or else, the time and effort of a wasted visit is saved: the customer would only ever be interested in a much lower quote than they will receive.

The tool works by the Sales Assistant asking the customer questions to characterise the building: how many levels, how many bedrooms, bay windows? The customer is then presented with intelligently created shapes and sizes. The customer guides the sales assistant to get the room proportions about right. A series of leading questions enable a stairway to be formulated rapidly with good default sizes; the tool is not limited to just rooms. A bundled set of accessories are automatically applied, enabling the quote to be rapidly generated.

The dairy for scheduling fitters is a graphical diary for allocating to fitters to events by drag and drop. The duration of a fitting event is automatically estimated from the total labour charge quoted. Fittings events are allocated to a fitting resource according to their capability: some fitters do roll materials only, others specialise in LVT. However, scheduling is not just a matter of who can do what and when: it is about committing to the customer with a time band within which the fitter will arrive at the property. Uncertainty over time of arrival increases as the working day progresses and the innovative dairy handles this aspect.

The fitting team’s work on a particular day needs to communicated; the fitter is therefore provided with his own dairy via an app on his phone.
